The night before...

10 hours and 32 minutes until Term 4 officially starts at Emmaus College.

Another way to say it is 10 hours and 32 minutes until I, once again, wish i didn't exist.

So, I'm sitting at home dreading the beginning of another six weeks of pure boredom. I can't sleep, because, over the last two weeks of school holidays, I have reset my body clock to allow the sleeping hours of 3am - 11pm. Tonight, I expect to have only 6 hours of sleep at the most. So, I am going to begin the school term with very little sleep. However, there are a few redeeming qualities to the beginning of term. I start off the school term with two periods of legal studies, which is possibly the most relaxed class I have ever experienced. Instead of 90 minutes of hardcore learning, I will be participating in 90 minutes of gossip, catching up and general discussion within the cluster of people I call my friends.

This is going to be followed by 45 minutes of emptiness while I stare at an activboard full of numbers and symbols that I don't understand. Then i go to lunch where I will most likely have an argument with my other 'friends' about something that will contribute to the eventual and inevitable break up of the group.

After lunch I have chemistry, where i sit with a couple of people from Legal while a 'friend' and another friends ex stare at the back of my head and discuss how much they hate me while I'm sitting less than two metres away. Then I got back to lunch where I will listen to 15 minutes of bitching. Then I have English. Possibly one of the best ways to finish a day of school. The class that inspires my writing, the only outlet I have in order to speak my mind.

After school I am going to come home and sit in my room waiting to do it all again the next day. So, I'm going to leave you with a quote from Nine Inch Nails song "Everyday Is Exactly The Same", because I believe it sums up my expectations of school:

"I believe I can see the future, cause I repeat the same routine."
